We reported a few days ago an upcoming Qualcomm chipset, dubbed as the Snapdragon 775G, indicating near-flagship performance due to its 530,000 overall score on Antutu. This time, it appears that MediaTek is also planning to release a competitor to that after another Antutu benchmark got leaked.
Going by the moniker of MediaTek MT6893, it’s a “premium platform” based on a 6nm process node, boasting Cortex-A78 3.0Ghz CPU. And according to an unknown device running the chipset, it garnered a total of 622,409 points, about 15% more than the SD 775G and equally better as the Snapdragon 865.
The story doesn’t end there, however. Though the overall score is impressive, the CPU score of 175,351 is a bit lower than most SD 865 devices. On the flip end, the GPU and Memory — which are Mali-G77 and LDPRR5 + UFS 3.1 — are slightly better.
Other than the chipset’s performance, the device is listed to be using a 90Hz screen and Android 11 version. Unfortunately, we can’t draw any devices that may come with MediaTek MT6893. We should learn more about it in the next few weeks.
