Android users can now use the While You Were Away feature of Twitter App. iOS users got this update first, a month ahead.
This feature shows the best tweets based on the users’ engagement instead of showing all the tweets missed in chronological order. It is the first thing the users see upon opening the Twitter application. But it is somehow a disadvantage for people who don’t want to scroll through couple of notification to see fresh tweets.
Many users dislike the feature because reportedly, it messes their feed and forces them to scroll through out of date content picked by an algorithm – an experience already offered by Facebook.
