Transsion Holdings, a Chinese manufacturer of smartphones becomes one of the top three largest smartphone vendors in the Philippines for Q4 2021. Its brands include the Infinix Mobile, Tecno Mobile, Itel Mobile.
According to known global firm, Canalys, it has amassed annual growth of 228%, the highest among all the smartphone vendors that are currently active in the country.
Transsion got the 14% of unit share last quarter, tying with OPPO which is now in the top 4. On the other hand, realme remains the top 1 with 20% of unit share and an annual growth of 8%.
The two other smartphone brands within the top 5 are: vivo at number-two with 18% of unit share, though with an growth of -27%; and Samsung at number-five, with 13% of share and a YoY growth of 46%.
