5. Snapchat
Initially released in 2011, the temporary nature of images and short-lived videos became a hit thanks to some former students at Stanford University. Snapchat started as Picaboo and was available for iOS only. Two months later, it was relaunched as Snapchat and became a messaging platform that caters to Android and iOS. What separates Snapchat from other platforms is the ‘Snaps’, containing images or short videos that can be edited with the use of filters, drawing, captions and animated effects.
4. Animal Jam
If you haven’t heard of this game, Animal Jam is a massively multiplayer online virtual world launched in 2010 by WildWorks in partnership with National Geographic Society. The game started in Windows and OS platforms and met success, becoming one of the fastest-growing online kids properties worldwide and eventually became available for mobile by 2015. Animal Jam lets you play as your favorite animal and interact with different players in a safe, fun and exciting environment.

Simple yet addicting, that is the nature of Agar.io. You play as a tiny cell and dominate other players to make yourself the biggest cell in the game. Agar.io was first released as a browser game in April 2015 and became more popular when it hit Android and iOS.

Perhaps the biggest mobile game in 2016 that met with crazy hype and high expectations, the Pokemon GO. For long time fans, you can now capture Pokemon in real-world and battle different trainers and make a name for yourself in different Pokemon Gym.
1. Slitherio
From registering in-game to gameplay mechanics, it is as simple as it gets. Slitherio is a combination of Agari.io and the classic game ‘Snake’. You start as a small snake and try to be the biggest snake in the game by eating pellets and other snakes. That’s a lot of snakes there. The game is available in browser, Android and iOS.
