Telegram has begun rolling out its first update of 2026, bringing major interface changes and new AI-powered features across Android and iOS.
On Android, Telegram is introducing a redesigned interface with rounded cards, blurred and translucent backgrounds, a floating bottom navigation bar, and softer icons and spacing.
The overall look follows a “Liquid Glass” style, offering a modern appearance.

On iOS, the Liquid Glass design is now fully implemented across the app since the UI originated from Apple and was officially introduced on June 9, 2025.
The new UI features transparent elements and refraction effects throughout the interface.

Users can reduce visual effects to improve performance and battery life through the Power Saving settings.
Moreover, the update also adds AI-generated summaries for long channel posts and Instant View pages.
These summaries appear at the top of content, allowing users to quickly catch up on lengthy posts.

Telegram says the feature is powered by open-source AI models running on Cocoon, a decentralized network designed to encrypt requests and protect user data.
