TECNO has officially launched its latest budget smartphone under the SPARK 50 series in India, the TECNO SPARK 50s 5G.
The TECNO SPARK 50s 5G is marketed as a dependable daily driver, combining network reliability, rugged durability, and extended battery life.
The device sports a 6.78-inch panel with HD+ (720 x 1576) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 560 nits brightness.
Powering it inside is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6400 octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD). It also packs a 6,500mAh battery capacity with 45W wired fast charging support.
Camera-wise, the SPARK 50s 5G is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The brand also added extra features, including 4×4 MIMO antennas that can improve download speeds and resolve connectivity drops in high-traffic areas, UPS 3.0 technology for faster UPI transactions, and the FreeLink proprietary communication tool that bypasses the need for Wi-Fi or cellular service and allows users to make voice calls, send text messages, and share images over a 1.5-kilometer range.
Colors available are Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue. It also comes with IP64 Pro ratings and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability.
Pricing and Availability
The TECNO SPARK 50s 5G is priced at INR 19,999 (~PHP 13,264) for the 6GB + 128GB model and INR 22,999 (~PHP 15,254) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. It will go on sale in India starting October 20.
