
A few weeks ago, TECNO launched the new TECNO MEGAPAD 2 in the local market, while the TECNO MEGAPAD SE was launched in December 2025.
Both tablets focus on work, entertainment, and AI features, but what are their differences?
Here’s how the two tablets compare.
The MEGAPAD 2 measures 257.1 × 168.7 × 6.6mm and weighs 547 grams. It has an all-metal body and comes in Space Gray, Cosmic Orange, and Light Green.


Meanwhile, the MEGAPAD SE is slightly thicker at 7mm. It also uses an all-metal body and is available in Moonstone Gray and Glacier Blue.
Both tablets feature slim designs, with the MEGAPAD 2 being the thinner of the two.
The MEGAPAD 2 has the more advanced display of the two. It features an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution of 1600 × 2560 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 550 nits of brightness. It also has TÜV Rheinland certification for flicker-free and low blue light protection.


On the other hand, the MEGAPAD SE also has an 11-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, but uses a lower FHD+ resolution and 440 nits of brightness.
For sharper visuals and higher brightness, the MEGAPAD 2 has the advantage.
The MEGAPAD 2 has an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

Meanwhile, the MEGAPAD SE has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
The MEGAPAD 2 therefore offers a higher-resolution front camera, while the MEGAPAD SE adds features such as a wider field of view and AI Beauty Mode.
The MEGAPAD 2 is powered by the MediaTek MT8781, a 6nm octa-core chipset with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. It comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, with up to 6GB or 8GB of Extended RAM depending on the configuration.


Storage options include 128GB and 256GB.
The MEGAPAD SE, on the other hand, uses a 6nm Snapdragon 685 chipset. It is available with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Memory Fusion can also provide up to an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.
Both tablets support multitasking features such as split-screen and floating windows.
The MEGAPAD 2 packs an 8,200mAh battery with 18W wired charging. It also supports reverse wired charging.
The MEGAPAD SE has a slightly smaller 8,000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.
On paper, the MEGAPAD 2 has a slightly larger battery and also offers reverse charging.
Both tablets come with AI-powered features designed for work, study, and everyday use.
The MEGAPAD 2 includes TECNO AI Ella, AI Translation, AI Drawing Board, AI SnapMemo, MindHub, and AI Captions. It also features the AI Quick Button for quickly accessing Ella.


For productivity, it supports WPS Office, cross-app drag-and-drop, floating windows, and OneLeap ecosystem features. Users can also connect the tablet with compatible TECNO devices for file transfers, screen mirroring, and other cross-device functions.
The MEGAPAD SE also comes with Ella Voice Assistant, AI Translation, AI Writing, AI Drawing Board, Ella Smart Touch, Picture-to-Answer Learning, and Image-to-Document Conversion.
It also supports OneLeap connectivity, WPS Office, split-screen, floating windows, and cross-app drag-and-drop.
For families, the MEGAPAD SE includes Google Kids Mode, which allows parents to manage screen time and app usage.
