TCL has recently unveiled its latest 5G smartphones that are launching exclusively in the US, the TCL 30 XE 5G and 30 V 5G.
Let’s start with the TCL 30 XE 5G, the company’s first smartphone for T-Mobile and Metro, however, it will later be made available to other carriers as well. It sports a 6.52-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a 180 Hz touch sampling rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 (7nm) chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 18W charging.
The smartphone features triple rear cameras with a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth lens. Upfront is an 8MP selfie camera. It has a DragonTrail 3 for glass protection, and it will launch with Android 11 out of the box.
For connectivity, it comes with VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), sub-6 5G, and a MicroSD slot. Ports include a 3mm audio jack and USB Type-C. In addition, the smartphone also comes with a rear fingerprint scanner.

The TCL 30 V 5G, on the other hand, is available exclusively on Verizon and supports the company’s Ultra-Wideband 5G and Nationwide 5G networks. It features a 6.67-inch display with 1080p+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Under the hood, it comes with a Snapdragon 480 (8nm) processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 18W charging.
The smartphone also equips triple rear cameras with a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront is a 16MP selfie camera. For security, it has a face recognition feature and a rear fingerprint scanner. The TCL 30 V 5G also accepts a single nano-SIM card and can act as a Wi-Fi 5 (ac) hotspot for up to 10 devices. Additionally, it has a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and will launch with Android 11 out of the box.

Pricing and Availability
Both smartphones are exclusive to the US market and will be officially available in the coming weeks.
