Spotify has introduced Playlist Notes, a new feature that lets users add notes to songs, podcast episodes, and audiobooks in their playlists.
How to add a Playlist Note?
Users can add a note by tapping the three-dot menu next to an item, selecting Add note, writing their message, and tapping Save. Notes can include personal memories, recommendations, or context about why an item was added.
Additionally, Spotify is introducing Editor Profiles and editor-written Playlist Notes for selected playlists. These notes explain why editors picked certain tracks and why they are culturally relevant.
To access the feature, users are required to update the app as soon as it becomes available in their market.
The Playlist Notes feature is available on iOS and Android and is currently rolling out in more than 100 markets globally.
Anyone who can view the playlist can also see the notes, along with the user’s profile name.
