Just recently, Sony PH revealed their upcoming new X-series handsets, the Sony Xperia X, and XA. Both phones were introduced via live event. Luckily, we got a good glimpse on Sony’s upcoming new X-series handsets and so, let’s take a closer look at them and what they can bring to the table.
Let’s start things off with the original X-series handset, the Sony Xperia X. The Xperia X is a 5-incher smartphone backed up by a Snapdragon 652 chip. It also has 3GB of RAM and an option of 32 or 64GB of ROM, with microSD card support. Shooting-wise, it has a pretty capable 23MP rear shooter with f/2.0 wide angle lens and a 13MP selfie shooter with super wide angle lens. It runs on an updated Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has a 2300mAh battery capacity.
The next device that Sony introduced is the more affordable, Sony Xperia XA. Like the Xperia X, the Xperia XA sports a 5-inch 1080p FHD display, however, this one is not exactly a carbon copy of the Xperia X since this one has a MediaTek Helio P10 chip. It also gets a downgraded 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, with microSD card support on the side. Amazingly, the Sony Xperia XA packs a similar 2300mAh battery capacity and an updated Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is actually pretty convenient.
The Sony Xperia X and XA are expected to go live in stores sometime in July, with the Sony Xperia X landing in at Php 29.990, while the Xperia XA lands at Php 13,990. Pre-orders for these Xperia X-series phones are to go online tomorrow until the 26th of June. What do you guys think? We’d love to hear from you guys.
