SONY quietly announces Xperia L1
Just after a few days after passing certification in Russia, Sony Xperia L1 goes official on the Japanese company’s website.
According to some, the Xperia L1 is not the successor to the three-year-old Xperia L. But who cares? We are not here for that.
By giving life to the Xperia L1, Sony expands their smartphone portfolio that doesn’t hurt too much for the pocket.
What’s interesting with this budget smartphone is the support for USB Type-C, NFC, and Android 7.0 Nougat that is uncommon to find under the low-end mid tier.
Moving to the basics, it’s a 5.5-inch 720p HD display built on Sony staples of edgy corners. Black, White, and Pink complete the color options.
That’s being backed up by 2620mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
A MediaTek 6737T quad-core chipset covers all the processing needs together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. If that’s not enough, the microSD card slot supports up to 256GB of extra storage.
For the camera, a 13MP f/2.2 main lens features 3x clear image zoom and 24mm wide-angle lens for the 5MP selfie snapper.
Sony didn’t include the pricing on the Xperia L1 but given its specification, we are estimating around Php7,500 or $150USD.
Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America, and Latin America are the select markets once the Sony Xperia L1 goes official in Late April.
