Sony has been delivering a lot of unique devices over the years and has already established themselves as one of the major innovator’s in today’s tech, however, it seems that they’re looking to step things up a notch, with a possible patent contact lens camera. The patent pretty much describes contact lenses equipped with an image capturing unit and a storage medium for the photos to be stored to. From the patent’s themselves, it seems that these are yet to be approved of some sort, which is actually reasonable since the devices could primarily provide a bunch of optical deficiencies or some sort. Nevertheless, these patents seem to be only in the suggested stage.
Ironically, Samsung has already been thought of working with a “contact lens camera” and research for such a technology is still underway. For now, this type of technology is still in its early stage and hopefully, we’ll see it live with our own eyes, though we’re kinda worried about a few things regarding of people abusing its conspicuous uses.
