Sony Philippines recently launched the 1000X THE COLLEXION premium headphone in the country, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the brand’s 1000X lineup.
The Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION sports premium metal details, faux leather, soft earcups, and a slim ergonomic, over-ear closed-back design. They come in Black and Platinum color options and weigh around 320g.
Powering it inside is the 30mm bespoke driver unit and supports 360 Reality Audio Upmix with spatial audio profiles for music, cinema, and gaming. There’s also native support for DSEE Ultimate audio upscaling, which uses AI to reproduce lost sound frequencies.
The headphones also feature a V3 integrated processor for improved ANC performance and sound processing.
For connectivity, the 1000X THE COLLEXION supports Bluetooth 6.0, a 3.5mm stereo mini jack for wired listening, multipoint connection, and Sony’s LDAC codec alongside SBC, AAC, and LC3.
Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours of battery life with ANC turned on and up to 32 hours with ANC turned off. Sony also claimed that it can last up to 16 hours with NC turned on or 20 hours with NC turned off for calls. It takes around 3.5 hours for it to charge and charges via USB.
Other technical features include 48 ohms impedance (1kHz, when connecting via the headphone cable with the unit turned on), 4Hz–40,000Hz frequency response (IEC, wired), 20Hz–20,000Hz / 20Hz–40,000Hz frequency response over Bluetooth depending on codec, and 103 dB / mW sensitivity (wired, with unit turned on).
The Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION is priced at PHP 36,999 and is now available through Sony Centres, online stores, and authorized retailers nationwide.
