READ: Introducing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chip
This new chip has managed to achieve a remarkable feat by surpassing the performance of its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, by over 200% in less than two years.
Qualcomm showcased this astonishing leap in performance using five prominent benchmarking tools, including Antutu v10 benchmark, Geekbench 6, 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, 3DMark Solar Bay, and AI Mark.
Notably, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 achieved a groundbreaking score of 2,139,281 in the Antutu benchmark, marking the first chipset to officially breach the 2 million mark in this benchmark.
SoC | Antutu Score | Performance Improvement | Device |
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 | 2,139,281 | 233 % | Snapdragon Reference Device |
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 | 1,478,024 | 161 % | Samsung Galaxy S23 |
Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 | 1,311,539 | 143 % | Xiaomi Poco F5 Pro |
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 | 919,222 | N/A | Samsung Galaxy S22 |
To put it in perspective, devices equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scored less than 1 million on Antutu.
The performance improvements are truly remarkable, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has achieved a staggering 233% boost in Antutu performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
This development underscores the chip’s exceptional power, making it more than twice as potent as its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
