Qualcomm’s highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System-on-Chip (SoC) is expected to debut later this year as the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Although official details about the next-generation chip are still under wraps, leaked benchmark results have recently surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of what the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset has in store.

The official announcement of the SoC will likely occur at Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Technology Summit in October, with upcoming flagship smartphones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Samsung expected to feature this powerful chip.

According to benchmarks shared by a Weibo user, an engineering device running the SM8650 chipset, which corresponds to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, has achieved an impressive score of 17,71,106 on the AnTuTu benchmark. This score surpasses the top-performing devices on the AnTuTu listings, including the iQoo Neo 8 Pro, OnePlus 11, and Oppo Find X6 Pro.

It’s important to note that benchmark scores can vary, and the performance of smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may differ.

These leaked AnTuTu scores align with previous rumors suggesting that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will deliver a significant performance boost compared to its predecessor. Similar benchmark leaks emerged in May, further supporting this claim.

Rumors from a Weibo user last month revealed possible configurations for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, featuring either one prime core paired with five performance cores and two efficiency cores or two excellent cores, four performance cores, and two efficiency cores.

Additionally, the chipset supposedly achieved Geekbench 6 scores of 2,563 in single-core and 7,256 in multi-core tests. The leaked benchmark didn’t specify whether the GPU score 8,621 was achieved in the OpenCL or Vulkan test. These scores outshine current flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Another tipster, Digital Chat Station, mentioned that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would likely feature an advanced 3.7GHz Cortex-X4 prime core, five performance, and two efficiency cores.

Overall, these leaked benchmark results raise excitement for the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, suggesting that it will deliver remarkable performance capabilities and pave the way for next-generation flagship smartphones.
