Xiaomi launched the Mi 8 SE recently and it is also the debut of Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 710.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE houses a 5.88-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor with Adreno 616 GPU, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB of native storage.
In the camera department, it features a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear camera with dual pixel AF, portrait mode, and LED flash. For taking selfies, it has a 20MP front snapper.
It runs on Android Oreo with MIUI 10 and is fueled by a 3120mAh battery pack.The 4GB variant of the Mi 8 SE retails for 1799 Yuan, which is roughly around PHP 14.8k. While the 6GB variant carries the price tag 1999 Yuan or around PHP 16.4k.
The Vivo NEX is rumored to arrive with 6.59 inches IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2316 pixels. It will be powered by Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 and Adreno 616 and GPU might be coupled with 128 GB native storage and 6 GB RAM.
In the camera department, it might sport a dual camera setup of 12 MP + 5 MP with phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. For taking selfies, it has an 8 MP front snapper. It will run on Android Oreo and will be fueled by a 4000 mAh battery pack.

HMD Global has announced that they’re going to be launching a wide range of devices this year. As per Roland Quandt, HMD Global is working on a new smartphone with the codename Phoenix that will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 710.
According to speculations, the Phoenix Nokia smartphone might arrive by the end of the year.
Some reports suggest that two upcoming Xiaomi smartphones will be featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710. These midrange devices have reportedly been codenamed ‘Comet’ and ‘Sirius’.
According to the reports, the Xiaomi ‘Comet’ will arrive with an OLED display with Always On feature, dual-SIM capabilities, a 3100mAh battery, an IR blaster, and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi ‘Sirius’ will reportedly feature a notched OLED display with Always On feature, dual-SIM support, a bigger 3120mAh battery, portrait mode in the camera app, and Android 8.1 Oreo.
Rumours suggest that Google will be releasing a smartphone with the Snapdragon 710 chipset, but it might be launched sometime in the first half of 2019. There’s no further information about this though, we’ll surely update you if we get any.
