The PLDT mobile services unit Smart Communications Inc. (SMART) is still helping users all over the country register and reactivate their SIM cards within the five-day grace period after the deadline for SIM registration on July 25.
Smart and its value brand, TNT, have sent text messages to all of the affected users with a link to the SIM registration portal at smart.com.ph/simreg.
Smart and TNT also continue to put assisted SIM registration booths in Smart Stores and other key locations across the country to help users register and reactivate their SIM cards.
Smart and TNT have also added an official Facebook Messenger account and a number, +63.2.8888111, to help their customers.
Also, as part of their “Mag-SIM Reg para hindi SIM Dead” program, they have increased their public service announcements across multiple platforms to remind people to register their SIM cards.
Since the SIM registration drive started on December 26, 2022, Smart has been working closely with national agencies like the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the National Telecommunications Commission, the Department of Interior and Local Government, local government units, and private organizations to encourage and help mobile users across the country register their SIM.
By registering their SIM cards, Smart and TNT customers can keep using the Philippines’ fastest and best mobile network for data, calls, and texts. (READ: Ookla: Smart Is Philippines’ Fastest Mobile Network). This is according to Ookla, the world leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence.
