Heads up! Shopee Philippines just implemented a new policy effective last June 2, 2022. According to the well-known online shopping App, they will be charging a 1-per cent admin fee for every Cash In transaction via digital wallets like GCash, Maya, and coins.ph. But do not fret because you may still enjoy other alternative transactions free of charge, but we will discuss that later.

ShopeePay 1% admin fee policy

ShopeePay Philippines has been under fire for its 1% admin fee policy that applies to all cash-in transactions. This policy has caused a lot of backlash from users who allege that the Company is unfairly collecting profits from users’ transactions. ShopeePay has defended its policy by saying that it is necessary to cover the costs associated with running the Service. However, many users feel that this fee is excessive and unfair. If you use ShopeePay to make payments, be aware of this policy and ensure that you are not charged additional fees. Here, you can read more about the 1% admin fee policy on ShopeePay’s Website.
