Bose Corporation has acquired Skullcandy.
The acquisition follows a partnership between the two companies that saw Skullcandy use Bose audio technology in its earbuds and headphones.
Skullcandy will continue operating as a separate brand and remain based in Park City, Utah. Bose said it plans to support the company’s growth through access to its audio technology, resources, global distribution, and business partnerships.

The deal also gives Bose a stronger presence in markets such as gaming, fitness, music, and boardsports, where Skullcandy has established connections.
According to Bose, additional information, including financial and other terms of the transaction, will remain confidential.
