Hyundai will introduce the new Staria HEV on July 9 in the Philippines.
The new Staria HEV replaces the current 2.2-liter diesel engine with a 1.6-liter turbocharged SmartStream gasoline engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an electric motor. Power comes from a 1.48-kWh battery.

The hybrid powertrain produces a combined 245 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque. Compared to the diesel version, it offers 68 more horsepower but 63 Nm less torque.
The Staria HEV also adds Hyundai’s e-Motion Drive system, which includes e-Comfort Drive and e-Dynamic Drive technologies.
Hyundai has also updated the vehicle’s suspension, reinforced the body structure, and revised the bushings to improve ride quality and driving stability.
On the outside, the Staria HEV receives a refreshed front design with a new LED light strip, updated grille, front bumper, and redesigned headlights.

Inside, the cabin features a larger 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch infotainment display with hybrid-specific information, a redesigned steering wheel, a new center console, and additional physical controls.
Hyundai Motor Philippines is expected to announce the full specifications, pricing, and availability of the new Staria HEV on July 9.
