For the past week, we’ve also seen tidbits about the upcoming Redmi Note 9 Series successor. Though the company confirmed that all three Redmi Note 10 devices would feature Snapdragon chips, we had no idea what the rest of the specs would look like until today.
Last time, it was only the cover of the leaked retail box of the Redmi Note 10 that got revealed to the public. Other than the indication of the AMOLED screen and 48MP quad-cameras, there was nothing left to “confirm.”
This time we have an unboxed look of the Redmi Note 10. And according to the plastic cover of the phone, the upcoming mid-range phone will also feature dual-speakers, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, ultrawide and macro lenses, a 20MP selfie camera, and the latest Snapdragon 678. Other than the chipset, Xiaomi has got a good package going.
The 678 succeeds the 675 of 2018. The older chip was severely underpowered last year, particularly when compared with the MediaTek alternatives. For the 678, we expect a slight boost in performance but not a significant one. If we have to guess, it’s probably between the 655 and 720G.
