President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the opening of the CAVITEX C5 Link Expressway Segment 3B on Monday, March 30, 2026.
This new 2-kilometer expressway connects Parañaque City and Taguig City, with an estimated 36,000 vehicles expected to use the segment.
According to President Marcos, the trip along the route could go from about 1 to 1.5 hours down to around 15 minutes, depending on traffic, depending on traffic conditions.
The opening of the expressway is part of the government’s “Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport” (UPLIFT), which was launched following a declared national energy emergency earlier in March.
As part of the launch, President Marcos also announced that the CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B will be toll-free for the entire month of April 2026.
