It’s been several weeks ago when Pokemon Go was launched in select countries with the exclusion of the Philippines, Brazil, and more countries. We only confirmed a week ago that the server for these countries appeared on a reliable site. But until now there’s no official confirmation from Nintendo or Niantic aside from the CEO of the latter on promising the game for all 200 regions and countries.
Today, the online and mobile car service company Grab teases the arrival and imminent launch of Pokemon Go in the Philippines. Just days ago, Grab Malaysia and another telco accidentally gave out some news about the Pokemon Go availability and partnerships in the region.
The tease comes in the form of a gif image with the caption “Gotta Grab ’em all!”. With this teasing of the company, it only means that the Pokemon Go game will definitely be released here. And a partnership(s) is likely possible between the game, a telco (Smart or Globe), and an e-hailing company which is Grab Philippines.
One thing we’re not sure if these talks with telcos and Grab cause some delays in the launch in the region. We will only find out soon.
