PLDT aims to debut a new service combining home internet and solar power solutions under a single subscription.

PLDT said that it is working on a partnership with a solar energy provider for this first-of-its-kind service, which bundles high-speed fiber with renewable energy to help subscribers lower their power bills.
“If people can have solar panels installed together with internet in one go, it should be very compelling for our customers, especially the ones who wish to future-proof their homes,” said PLDT Chief Operating Officer (COO) Menardo Jimenez Jr.
According to PLDT, initial market testing yielded promising results, showing strong consumer interest in an integrated digital and energy solution that delivers long-term savings.
PLDT plans to eliminate the heavy upfront cost of solar deployment by allowing customers to pay for the infrastructure through manageable monthly installments over several years.
With this initiative, PLDT Home head John Palanca highlighted that the company aims to expand its ecosystem far beyond home internet.
Official pricing, launch dates, and full service details remain unannounced, although the company stated that further details will be released soon.
