PLDT Increases ESG Performance Metrics Transparency

PLDT Inc. has taken part in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) again to show that it is committed to aligning business with sustainability plans. The integrated telco’s 2023 Sustainability Report is now done, which shows that planned efforts are being made to measure and improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

The S&P Global CSA is a yearly review of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. It looks at more than 10,000 businesses around the world and uses both industry-specific and financially important criteria. Companies can use the results to set benchmarks and make sure they are in line with the measures of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.

PLDT reported on key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) measures that fit with its four pillars: connection, care, conservation, and commitment.

The 2022 S&P Global CSA ratings report shows that PLDT got an overall score of 59, which is the best of all Philippine telcos and a big jump from the 51 and 47 scores it got in the two previous years. This looks at how well a business is doing in terms of ESG indicators, giving shareholders and investors relevant information and benchmarks about sustainability.
