Even though they aren’t cheap, the trend of foldable devices has grown a lot in the past few years. Tecno’s first foldable gadget, the Phantom V Fold, came out at the beginning of this year. Surprisingly, the price of this smartphone was almost 50% less than that of similar products like the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Now, Tecno is getting ready to launch a new product: the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G, a flip phone for the middle market.
Paras Guglani, a well-known leaker, has shown pictures and specs of this upcoming gadget.
The rendered images of the upcoming Phantom V Flip 5G have been made public. The way the top display is made is one of the most interesting parts of the phone’s design. Instead of putting the camera and screen in separate places, Tecno decided to put the camera ring around a circular cover screen.

On the back of the device, there will be two cameras with 64MP AF and 13MP sensors. The phone is said to have a 32MP camera on the front.
The device’s outside screen will be a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466×466. On the inside, the device will have a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080×2640. Under the hood, it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 processor, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Like other foldables on the market, the Phantom V Flip 5G will have two batteries: one with 1165 mAh and one with 2735 mAh. The Phantom V Flip 5G will likely be advertised as having a 4000 mAh capacity.
It will come with Android 13 right out of the box and will be available in three different colors: Minimal black, Film white, and Periwinkle purple.
The story also says that the phone will work with a total of 14 different 5G bands. The Phantom V Flip 5G’s first teasing video is set to come out next month. So, it seems likely that the device will be officially released by the brand around the end of October.
