OPPO Reno3 and Reno3 Pro 5G Now Official in China

The new Reno3 series still maintains a premium design that started with the original Reno lineup. This time, however, there are more colors to choose from. The typical black and white variants are available but the Aura Blue and Blue colors introduce a striking and clean gradient design. Although there’s no color difference between the two, the 6.5″ display on the 5G model sets itself apart with a curved display on both front and back. It also uses a pinhole display for the 32MP f2.4 selfie camera. On the other end, the Reno3 comes with a 6.4″ flat display featuring a teardrop notch for the same selfie sensor.

There’s no shortage of cameras as multiple lenses have become a thing now. Both are rocking quad-camera setups but the Reno3 has a 64MP main lens accompanied by 8MP ultrawide and 2MP sensors for macro and mono. Reno3 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a 48MP Sony main sensor with the same 8MP ultrawide lens. However, the third sensor is of 13MP telephoto that delivers up to 20x digital zoom and up to 5x hybrid zoom. As you may have expected, the fourth sensor is a mono lens.

With both phones running the revamped ColorOS 7, you can expect the best performance out of the two SoCs. That’s right. The Reno3 Pro is using a Snapdragon 765G that’s made for gaming for the premium mid-range tier. While the standard Reno3 is using MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L. It’s the flagship chipset from the company, so expect flagship performance like the Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865.
