
After teasing it, OPPO has officially unveiled the latest Reno12 Series in China. The series consists of the vanilla OPPO Reno12 and the OPPO Reno12 Pro.
Both devices feature MediaTek’s Star Speed Engine Technology to fully maximize the potential of end-to-end gaming, the brand claims.
They also flaunt a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1200nits peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.
OPPO Reno12
Under the hood, the vanilla Reno12 is powered by MediaTek’s 3.1GHz 4nm Dimensity 8250 octa-core processor with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging.
Camera-wise, it comes with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Upfront, is also a 50MP Samsung JN5 for selfies.
OPPO Reno12 Pro
The OPPO Reno12 Pro, on the other hand, boasts MediaTek’s 3.35GHz 4nm Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition octa-core chipset with Immortalis-G715 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
At the back, it comes with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with AF and OIS, an 8MP 112-degree ultra-wide shooter, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Upfront, there’s also a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie cam.
