OPPO has launched the Reno12 Series 5G in the Philippines on July 12, featuring two new models, the OPPO Reno12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G. These smartphones bring advanced AI capabilities to enhance daily experiences, continuing the Reno Series’ tradition with powerful AI cameras, stylish design, robust battery life, and durability.
The OPPO Reno12 Series 5G boasts an Ultra-Clear Camera System with AI Portrait features, ensuring stunning photos in any condition. Both models include a 50MP Sony LYT-600 Main Camera with All Pixel Omni-Directional PDAF and OIS, and a 112° Ultra-Wide Camera with a Sony IMX355 Sensor. The Flash Snapshot feature adjusts shutter speed based on ambient light for better image quality.
The Reno12 Pro 5G includes a 50MP Telephoto Camera with S5KJN5 Sensor, 2x Optical Zoom, and 20x Hybrid Zoom for natural bokeh effects, akin to professional cameras. Selfies are enhanced with advanced AI Portrait retouching, autofocus, and Portrait Mode on both models (32MP front camera for Reno12 5G and 50MP for Reno12 Pro 5G). Users can switch between 0.8x, 1x, and 2x zoom levels for perfect framing, while the Natural Tone feature adjusts exposure for realistic lighting and skin tones.
The upgraded AI Eraser 2.0 in the Reno12 Series 5G allows users to remove unwanted people or objects from photos quickly and accurately, thanks to a comprehensive Diffusion Model. The Smart Lasso and Paint Over functions have improved accuracy, achieving up to 98% recognition for any object.
AI Studio, a pre-installed app on the Reno12 Series 5G, allows users to transform photos into digital avatars with creative filters and likenesses. The process is simple: open the app, log in with MyOPPO, select a filter and photo, and wait a few seconds for the avatar to be created.
AI LinkBoost, a proprietary communication technology from OPPO, ensures robust connectivity even in challenging scenarios. Key highlights include faster transmission in crowded areas, quick signal recovery, reduced network lag, seamless network switching, minimized interference, and accurate urban positioning. The Reno12 Series 5G is the first to receive the High Network Performance certification from TÜV Rheinland, proving its superior connectivity.
The OPPO Reno12 Series 5G features a space-craft inspired, fluid metallic design. The Reno12 5G comes in Astro Silver, Sunset Pink, and Matte Brown, while the Reno12 Pro 5G is available in Nebula Silver and Space Brown. The Reno12 Series 5G includes a 5,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC™ Flash Charge, enabling the phone to charge from 1% to 47% in just 18 minutes and from 1% to 100% in 49 minutes.
The OPPO Reno12 5G is priced at PHP24,999, and the OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G is priced at PHP34,999. Pre-orders are ongoing until July 19 at all authorized OPPO stores nationwide, with pre-orders receiving a free S29 Night Light Bluetooth Speaker.
