OPPO Enco Air – A Comfortable and Budget Friendly TWS

The OPPO Enco Air is one of OPPO’s latest TWS devices that was released along with the OPPO enco buds. Unlike the OPPO Enco X, this one doesn’t come with ear tips. It offers three color variants: misty black, misty blue, and this review unit, misty white.

Upon opening the box you will be greeted by Enco Air itself. taking out the device and lifting the cover, you will find the documentation and a USB type C cable that is used for charging.

The case is a close resemblance to the OPPO Enco X, But this one has a matte finish and a translucent lid. The LED indicator is on the front, the USB C port on the bottom, and the OPPO branding on the back.

The case is made out of plastic and it feels solid and lightweight as well. The lid has a snap into it whenever I close the case. It has a minimalistic look and resembles the shape of soap. Although it gives the impression of a cheap toy because of the build itself. however, since it is lightweight it is comfortable and much easier to carry around.

The earbuds themselves don’t have ear tips since it sports a more solid design. It has a semi-in-ear design or some call it bean buds. The earbuds themselves are lightweight since a single bud of the enco air weighs about 3.75g, a single piece of ordinary A4 paper weighs around 4 to 5g so we can say that a single earbud of the enco air is lighter than paper. for a semi in-ear earbuds, the oppo enco air is quite comfortable to wear especially to the likes of me who prefer the in-ear over the latter.

Touch functions of the Enco Air are located on the top part of the cylindrical stem. So tapping as far as possible might improve sensitivity. It has functions like Double-tap to answer calls, double-tap on the right earbud to play the next track, and double tap on the left earbud to change audio effect modes. It is also voice assistants supported, which can be controlled by triple tapping and saying hi.

The only word that I can derive from my experience on Enco Air is Okay. It is not bad when it comes to music playback, but also not the best. Often times you can hear the lyrics clearly but lacks details of the actual music itself. bass is there but it doesn’t give the jolt that I am looking for but still, It is a good earbud. Despite not having a noise cancellation feature, it does offer dual-mic noise cancellation. Thanks to DNN (Deep Neural Network-based binaural audio algorithm) Noise Cancellation for calls as they reproduce human voices as to how they sound in person. it picks up vocals in any environment for better clarity. The On-call experience is great and I have no complaints about it.

Enco Air has a few features that they also offer. the dual-mic noise cancellation that reproduces human voices as to how they sound in person. IPX4 dust and water resistance, plus the low latency dual transmission that reduces latency which is good for gaming while maintaining communication with your team.

As for the battery, OPPO Enco Air can get up to 4 hours of continuous playback but still depends on how you use it, and can go up to 24 hours together with the charging case. One of the plus sides here is that a 10 minutes charge can keep you running for almost 8 hours. which is ideal especially if you are always on the go.

Overall The OPPO Enco Air is priced at P3,999 SRP but it is also on sale with just a P2,699 price tag on Lazada and Shopee. It is not the best earbud but it won’t disappoint you, since it offers a good battery life, is lightweight, and it also supports voice assistance. If you are eyeing an earbud that is good-looking, and lightweight but also on a strict budget, OPPO Enco Air is a good choice.
