OPPO A6s 5G Review

OPPO A6s 5G

As May 2026 began, OPPO released its OPPO A6 Series, and one of the phones included in the lineup is the OPPO A6s 5G.

Today, we’re sharing our experience using the device as our daily driver.

Design and Build

In terms of design and build, the phone feels solid and sturdy.

The edges are smooth, and the matte back helps reduce slipperiness. The device is slightly heavy at around 216 grams, but it still feels comfortable to hold.

At around 8.61mm thick, it doesn’t feel overly bulky despite the large battery inside.

Our review unit comes in the Ice White colorway, which features a subtle wave-like design on the back.

It is also resistant to fingerprint smudges, making it suitable for users with sweaty hands. Additionally, it has IP68 and IP69 ratings, adding to its durability.

This means it can handle dust, splashes, and even stronger water exposure, which adds peace of mind for daily use.

Display

For the display, the device features a 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1125-nit peak brightness.

The HD+ resolution (1570 × 720) is noticeable when looking closely at text and sharp details.

Overall, the display quality is good, with decent viewing angles. Brightness is sufficient for outdoor visibility, especially under direct sunlight.

However, the bezels are a bit thick, and at this price point, a higher resolution or an AMOLED panel would have been a better option.

Camera

In the camera department, the phone is equipped with a 50MP main camera and an auxiliary lens, while the front has a 16MP selfie camera.

It also comes with several shooting modes like Night, Pro, Dual-view video, and even an Underwater mode.

Camera performance is decent for indoor photography, producing good colors with adequate detail and sharpness.

In low light, it brightens images effectively while maintaining acceptable detail.

Selfies tend to appear slightly soft in indoor conditions, but overall quality remains good.

For video, the rear camera supports up to 1080p at 60fps, while the front is limited to 1080p at 30fps.

Performance

Under the hood, the OPPO A6s 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. During light tasks, performance is generally smooth, although some slowdowns can be noticed under heavier loads.

OPPO A6s 5G also offers an additional RAM expansion.

In gaming, particularly with Genshin Impact, performance is good overall, with occasional minor stutters.

The Mali-G57 GPU handles casual to mid-level gaming well, but demanding titles will require lower settings for smoother gameplay.

Benchmark Results

  • Antutu Benchmark: 601871
  • Geekbench 6 CPU: 770 / 1924
  • Geekbench 6 OpenCL: 1398
  • Geekbench 6 Vulkan: 1424
  • 3DMark Wild Life: 1317

Battery and Charging

For battery, the device packs a 7000mAh capacity with 80W wired charging. With an average daily screen time of around 4 to 5 hours, it lasted about a day and a half on a single charge.

The large battery is one of its standout features, which we think heavy users will appreciate.

Charging is also quite fast with 80W SUPERVOOC.

Price

In terms of pricing, the OPPO A6s 5G is priced at PHP 22,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and PHP 25,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model.

Verdict
