As part of the Summer Launch Event in India, OnePlus has unveiled their OnePlus Nord CE 5G powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC with up to 12GB of ram and a 30W fast charging. The “CE” means Core Edition which represents the heart or the essential.
The company hyped the upcoming launch of this phone, they’ve released some teasers through their official social media accounts. However, some fans in the comment section of the Launch event video expressed their disappointment towards the device. It only has one 5G Band, Mono Speaker, Removed Alert Slider, Plastic Build, and an Old Chip. Despite these downsides, it has higher 5G bandwidth, and the processor still punching in 2021.
Snapdragon 750G chipset has a 20% performance boost compared to the Snapdragon 720G, 5% higher than 765G and with higher GPU frequency.
Some of the features include 30W charging, Android 11, 64MP Triple Camera setup, and a nice-looking punch-hole cutout. It has a super-slim 7.9mm body and even the body is thinner the device still offers a 3.5mm headphone jack. The latest OnePlus midrange smartphone boasts a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that the phone is in fact cheaper and a budgeted version of the original Nord Series. It is priced at ₹22,999 (~Php15,000) for 6GB/128GB configuration. ₹24,999 (~Php16,300) for 8GB/128GB and ₹27,999(~Php18,200) for 12GB/256GB. Philippine pricing is rough conversions only. Pre-orders started yesterday June 11 and the phone will go on sale on June 16 on Amazon and retail partners.
