OnePlus is gearing up to release its flagship phone, the OnePlus 12, in China. The company has already confirmed that the device will feature the latest Sony Lytia lens as its primary camera.
In a recent update, OnePlus has disclosed more information about the phone’s camera system, confirming the inclusion of a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera. This periscope zoom camera will utilize an OmniVision OV64B sensor and offer up to 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus president Li Jie Louis has also shared sample photos captured with the OnePlus 12’s periscope zoom camera, showcasing impressive results with detailed images, even in tricky lighting conditions.
Additionally, the OnePlus 12 is expected to house a 53-megapixel LYT-T808 primary camera and a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide camera, matching the camera setup found on the OnePlus Open.

The device is rumored to feature a 2K BOE X1 OLED display with curved edges, run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and provide 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
A 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast charging support is anticipated. Other rumored specifications include a 32-megapixel front camera and the Chinese market will receive ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.
The OnePlus 12 is expected to debut in China later this month, followed by a global launch in January 2024.
