The Department of Information and Communications Technology has announced a Direct-to-Cell partnership between Globe Telecom and Starlink.
This partnership will soon allow LTE mobile phones to make calls and video calls, send texts, and have mobile data without relying on cell towers.
According to DICT, it will use 650+ low-Earth orbit satellites from Starlink, making them act as cell towers in space.

According to DICTās post on Facebook, the Philippines is the first country in Southeast Asia to have space-based connectivity.
Initial testing is expected in the first half of 2026 and will focus on islands, mountains, and disaster zone locations.

Hi,
Quick question regarding manilashaker.com – are you guys still putting together inspection reports manually at the end of the day?
We actually built something that completely automates this. It takes your site photos and voice notes and builds the report in minutes.
And the kicker? you own it forever with no recurring fees.
For this month only, we set up a special code for half off the one-time price. Just use code APRIL2026 at checkout. We’re capping this discount at 100 users.
