What we know so far is that Realme GT 5G is the company’s flagship phone in early 2021. However, the landscape of smartphones this year is slowly changing, with the global market on pace to release the most number of devices ever before. That said, the market is now as wide as the Pacific Ocean. And this year, there’s a new segment aimed at those who want a flagship experience without paying a steep price.
Enter Realme X9 Pro 5G. Though some might call it another flagship phone from the company, we wouldn’t blame you given the leaked specs. As of writing, the upcoming pro device will feature a 6.4″ FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 108MP primary camera, up to 256GB storage, 12GB of RAM, and a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
Aside from the refresh rate, the chipset also indicates the X9 Pro 5G not being a flagship phone. Apparently, the phone is going to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 chip, which is usually reserved for “affordable flagships.”
Nevertheless, we only hope that the X9 Pro 5G would reach more markets since consumers would definitely love to have that “budget” option in this pandemic world. No word yet on a specific release date, but rumors suggest anytime this month.
