The Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra are all receiving a fresh Android 12 update from Samsung. It has been updated with a couple of new features; the camera in the latest update and other improvements. A telephoto lens has been added to Samsung’s rear hyper-lapse mode, and the QR scanner has also been improved to make navigation easier. Here are all the details.

Samsung would be updating Galaxy S22 series with Android 12 soon. In this new update, telephoto cameras will be supported for hyperlapse.

With the new update, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones will be able to record through wide and ultrawide cameras and a 3X zoom option. Furthermore, Samsung announced that it is working on a new feature called Astro Hyperlapse, which will allow users to take super-artistic images of the night sky.

In addition, the company improved the camera’s QR code scanning capabilities. The QR scanner will now have a larger scanning area and offer a tap-to-scan feature if it cannot locate the code automatically. Additionally, the update fixes a bug in the Camera app’s QR code scanner that prevented users from scanning QR codes when the app detected a document.

Last but not least, the update improves HDR performance and color reproduction. Additionally, it optimizes memory usage and AI performance in the photo, video, and night modes.

South Korea has already started rolling out the update, and other regions should follow soon. There is no timeline yet for a broader timeline shared by the company.
