Infinix has officially launched its first AI-powered earbuds, Infinix AI Buds.
The new wearable supports real-time translation in 162 languages, powered by the company’s own CogLabs AI engine.
The earbuds feature two main translation modes, Conversation Translation for face-to-face dialogue and Real-Time Interpretation for speeches or audio. There’s also a speech-to-text function for meetings and lectures.
The AI Buds come in a transparent charging case with a built-in touchscreen that shows time and battery levels and allows users to control music and noise cancellation settings without needing a phone.
For audio quality, the device includes hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) and environmental noise cancellation (ENC) that together reduce up to 45dB of background noise. The buds also use dual microphones for clearer calls.
Battery life reaches up to 36 hours with ANC off, or about 25 hours with ANC on.
A smart voice assistant named “Folax” will be added later via the OTA update. Users will be able to activate it by voice to control music, check the weather, or start translations hands-free.
