Google recently announced that it is offering a free 1-year Google AI subscription for eligible college students worldwide.
The offer is already rolling out, and eligible college students can get a 12-month Google AI plan at no cost.

Aside from the offers, Google also announced new and enhanced study tools in Gemini and Google Search.
The new dedicated hub allows students to build custom study notebooks, generate interactive flashcards, and generate practice quizzes.
The study notebook feature enables students to upload course materials like lecture notes. From there, Gemini builds structured learning roadmaps, pinpoints knowledge gaps via diagnostic tests, and delivers tailored, bite-sized lessons paired with real-time progress tracking.
There’s also an “interactive visualizations” feature that enables Gemini to build functional 3D simulations, tables, and custom diagrams to help students visualize complex topics.
Lastly, Gemini Live enables hands-free discussion of problem sets and Drive files. Its Deep Research feature handles complex, multi-step reports asynchronously via voice, notifying users when complete.
