Following the recent launch of the MatePad 11.5 (2025) in the Philippines, HUAWEI is preparing to unveil a new compact tablet, the MatePad Mini in China.
The company teased the device with the tagline “super strong, super Mini,” hinting at both performance and portability.
According to early reports, the MatePad Mini may feature an 8.8-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a rounded rear camera module.
Under the hood, it is rumored to run on the Kirin 9020 5G chipset and support both 5G connectivity and HUAWEI’s NearLink technology.
So far, HUAWEI has yet to confirm the official specifications, pricing, and availability. More details are expected to be announced at its launch event on September 4, 2025.
