Senate Website Hit by Cyberattack

A local hacktivist group called Nullsec Philippines claimed responsibility for the unauthorized access to the Senate of the Philippines website on the night of June 10.

The group said it changed the website’s content and posted a message calling for greater transparency and accountability in government.

The message criticized corruption and urged public officials to uphold their responsibilities to the Filipino people.

According to the Senate, initial findings showed no signs that confidential or sensitive information had been accessed. Officials noted that the website mainly contains publicly available documents and information intended for public viewing.

As of today, June 11, the website is no longer showing the message left by Nullsec Philippines and has been placed under maintenance instead.
