Acer has introduced a new unique innovation for a gaming laptop at IFA 2024 in Berlin, the Acer Predator Project DualPlay. This concept comes with a new technology in a laptop, ushering a new era of gaming experience.
The Acer Predator Project DualPlay boasts a dual-purpose touchpad with integrated detachable wireless controller. Users can remove the wireless controller from its electromagnetic lock by pressing the release button with two fingers on top of the keyboard. Additionally, this action causes the laptop’s two 5-watt pop-out, high-fidelity speakers to protrude from its sides, enabling a more immersive audio experience when playing.
Moreover, it comes with a 360-degree dynamic RGB lighting almost all-over the whole laptop, including the keyboard, display bezels, and trackpad for a complete gaming experience.
The Project DualPlay allows for a 2-player gaming mode with the wireless controller and the keyboard and mouse controls. It is also possible to further split the detachable controller into two joysticks. Meanwhile, users who prefer to go solo can seamlessly switch between controllers to suit different playstyles.
As of the writing, the Acer Predator Project DualPlay is only a concept and only showcased at IFA 2024 in Berlin.
