Google has officially rolled out the Flight Simulator feature in Google Earth on the web.
The new experimental feature lets users explore the world from the air using a simple flight simulator built directly into Google Earth.
Players can control an aircraft with keyboard shortcuts, adjust speed, climb, dive, and fly across different locations around the globe.
The simulator is designed for casual exploration rather than realistic flight training. It features simplified flight physics and streams 3D buildings and high-resolution imagery as users fly.
Flight Simulator can be accessed through the Tools menu in Google Earth on the web. Users can switch from the default map view to satellite imagery for a more realistic flying experience.
Google said the addition follows the arrival of several desktop features on the web version of Google Earth, including elevation profiles and support for new import types.
The feature is currently labeled as experimental, which means it may have limited support and could change in future updates.
As for its availability, it is now available to users worldwide.
