
Crunchyroll is reportedly facing a possible data breach after claims surfaced that hackers accessed its systems through a third-party vendor.
According to posts by a cybersecurity account called International Cyber Digest, an attacker may have entered Crunchyroll’s network via an outsourcing partner.
The alleged breach is said to involve around 100GB of data, including customer analytics. Reports claim that exposed information could include emails, IP addresses, and possibly credit card details.
The incident is believed to have occurred on March 12, with access lasting about 24 hours.
As of now, Crunchyroll has not confirmed any breach.
On the other hand, Crunchyroll has announced price increase which started in February 2026. Subscription now starts at PHP99 in the Philippines.
