Disney+ has launched a new app in the Philippines.
The new Disney+ app includes movies and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Hulu. It also offers live events, sports, and other content, along with more than 30 language and subtitle options.
Subscribers can also use features such as content downloads, multiple simultaneous streams, parental controls, and different video and audio quality options, depending on their plan.
Existing subscribers will get access to the new app at no additional cost. Those with a Disney+ Premium subscription will keep their Premium plan features.
Meanwhile, subscribers on the Disney+ Basic plan will be moved to the Disney+ Standard plan at no additional cost. The Standard plan includes downloads, up to 1080p video quality, and up to two simultaneous streams.
The billing period will remain the same after moving to the new app.
However, existing profiles, Watchlist, and watch history will not be transferred to the new app. Users will need to set up their profile again when they first log in.
New Disney+ App Download
The current Disney+ app will continue to work until November 5, 2026. Starting November 6, users will need the new app to access Disney+ content.
Existing subscribers can download the new Disney+ app and log in using the same email address or phone number linked to their account.
The new app is available on supported Android, Android TV, iOS, tvOS, LG, Samsung, and Hisense devices.
