Samsung is set to launch One UI 8.5, its next major update based on Android 16.
The update brings a fully customizable Quick Panel, a bottom-positioned search bar for easier one-handed use, enhanced image-sharing security, and smoother Samsung Internet performance.
App icons gain a 3D look, system apps get new navigation icons, and the lock screen adds three new clock styles.
Moreover, Always On Display now animates from the touch point, and Galaxy AI Now Brief adds a quick flashlight shortcut.
Now Brief also offers smarter recommendations, suggesting YouTube videos based on watch history and Spotify playlists suited to time, season, or mood.
Photo sharing and contact suggestions are refined for easier communication.
