Qualcomm has introduced its latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The chipset features acustom-built Qualcomm Oryon CPU that offers 45% boost in performance and 44% improved power efficiency compared to previous models.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is designed for advanced AI capabilities with its Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, delivering a 45% improvement in AI performance. It powers AI-driven photography with features like 4K semantic segmentation, video object eraser, and real-time lighting adjustments.
Additionally, Qualcomm’s new modem system, the Snapdragon X80, supports multi-gigabit 5G speeds, and the AI-optimized FastConnect 7900 enhances Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth connectivity.
Users can also enjoy audio with Snapdragon Sound, offering up to 24-bit streaming and whole-building audio coverage via Wi-Fi 7.
The Adreno GPU also sees a 40% improvement in both performance and efficiency, alongside Unreal Engine 5 support for enhanced mobile gaming experiences.
