Another leak about Samsung‘s One UI 7 has emerged, giving us a glimpse of the redesigned skin. According to rumors, Samsung has changed the UI elements, animations, menus, settings, and even app icons.
These rumors are based on @chunvn8888 on X (formerly Twitter), where Chun Bhai shared photos of the new Samsung Internet icon. Users find it amusing, noting that “They just turned it 90° to the left side.” Additionally, it has become more vibrant.
Other icons show mixed results. The Contacts icon remains largely the same, while the Settings icon now resembles iOS. The Clock icon has also been revamped, featuring a white background with clock hands pointing in almost opposite directions.
These leaks suggest a shift away from Google’s Material Design principles, focusing on color and subtle gradients for a three-dimensional effect, differing from Material Design’s flat aesthetic.
Rumors also hint at new features in One UI 7.0, including a revamped home screen menu with more customization options and a feature similar to iOS’s Live Activities. @UniverseIce suggests Samsung might add functionality to display additional information through the status bar’s pill-shaped area during phone calls.
These are just leaks, and there’s no guarantee they’ll be in the final release of One UI 7.0. The beta program is expected to begin next month, and we’ll cover the firmware and beta participation process comprehensively.
