realme is returning to sub-brand status under OPPO.
According to a report, realme founder and CEO Sky Li will still continue to lead the brand.
This is expected to improve collaboration with realme and OnePlus, manage resources more efficiently, and support global expansion.
realme will continue its scheduled product launches and will be integrated into OPPO’s after-sales network, which includes over 5,000 stores in China.
In case you didn’t know, realme was originally an OPPO sub-brand in 2018 before becoming independent later that year.
BBK Electronics, the former parent company of OPPO, realme, OnePlus, vivo, and iQOO, dissolved in 2023.
