vivo has officially confirmed that its upcoming foldable phone, the vivo X Fold 5, will come with a 6,000mAh battery, the largest ever on a foldable device.
The X Fold 5 is expected to be one of the thinnest and lightest foldables to date.
It’s reported to weigh around 209 grams, which is lighter than the previous X Fold 3, which weighed 219 grams. Its thickness is listed at 4.3mm when unfolded and 9.3mm when folded.

Powering the device is a new “Blue Ocean” battery using fourth-generation silicon-carbon anode technology and second-generation semi-solid-state battery tech.
It’s designed to work even in icy conditions down to -30°C.
The phone is also built with triple protection, water resistance (IPX8 and IPX9), dust resistance (IP5X), and full functionality even at -20°C, making it suitable for harsh environments.
For photography, the X Fold 5 includes a periscope telephoto lens with support for long-range zoom, macro shots, and portrait modes.

vivo also highlights cross-platform compatibility with Apple products. The vivo X Fold 5 can connect with iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watch, and access iCloud, as well as share files with Macs, targeting users who use both Android and Apple devices.

As mentioned, vivo X Fold 5 will launch on June 25, 2025. More information will be revealed at the official launch.
