YouTube has expanded access to its shopping affiliate program to smaller creators, lowering the eligibility requirement to those with at least 500 subscribers.
Previously, the YouTube Shopping affiliate program generally required creators to have at least 1,000 subscribers, along with other eligibility rules like being in a supported country, no music channel, and more.

Now, creators already part of the YouTube Partner Program who meet the platform’s guidelines can start their affiliate journey.
Also, eligible creators can tag products in Shorts, video-on-demand (VOD), and livestreams.
Viewers can then browse and purchase items directly while watching content across mobile devices and TVs.
